Tortuguero Overnight Expedition at Pachira Lodge
Tortuguero is a system of fresh water canals, which flow smoothly through the coastal jungle and into the Caribbean Sea of Costa Rica. It is one of the best destinations to contemplate the breathtaking biodiversity of the tropics, which is why biologists call it: “The Amazon of Central America”.
Its inhabitants are the protectors of thousands of turtles that visit this shores every year to make their nests. Tortuguero is a remote place and the road by itself is part of the great natural experience for travelers.
However, it is easier to get there than you might think, because we offer our guests tours from San José which include – terrestrial and aquatic transportation through the channels, lodging, guides, meals and tours.
