Rincón de la Vieja National Park Overnight- TOP TOUR.

Rincón de la Vieja National Park Overnight- TOP TOUR.

$215 per person

Hike by volcanic activity, waterfalls, thermal waters and lodging in an Eco-Farm. Rincón de la Vieja (Old Woman’s  Corner) is an active volcano located in the volcanic mountain range of Guanacaste, in the northwest of the country.

This “Corner” is like entering another world. The walk along its slopes allows observation of all kinds of manifestations of volcanic activity only meters away, and the surrounding natural riches.

These are places to enter by sight and they do not let us think; they only allow us to have elevated feelings. They take our breath away!

Another element of this experience that travelers love, is to stay in an eco-farm.

The eco-farm preserves all the traditions of the region, and a national pride in sustainability, conservation and rural community development.

  • Also includes
Casual, comfortable athletic clothing, hiking shoes, hat and light jacket.
Day 1: Departure
We leave San Jose at 7am heading for the province of Guanacaste. From the Central Valley to the national park is approximately 3 hours. It is an interesting journey with your guide, where we appreciate the incredible geography and nature of Costa Rica. Our first adventure will be the trekking along a 3km path, in a tropical forest of giant stranglers, where you can see fumaroles, clay potholes, mini volcanoes and transitional waterfalls. It is also very possible to have excellent sightings of birds and mammals in their wild, natural state. After the tour, we will go to the waterfall Oropéndola for a dip and snacks. At 3pm, we will visit the Black River hot springs, a true oasis in the middle of the jungle and the most glorious and satisfying way to end an action-packed day. In the evening enjoy a dinner of champions in Hacienda Guachipelin. The rooms are very comfortable and all have air conditioning.
Day 2
A dip to start the day, before breakfast, in a secret pool. This activity is combined with bird watching. As we walk to the pool, you are likely to encounter hawks, yellow-breasted trogons or the famous turquoise Motmot, a resident of the dry forest. Afterwards enjoy a delicious traditional breakfast at Hacienda Guachipelin. And at 9am we will visit Chorreras Waterfall, one of the most beautiful in the whole area. To get there, we will take a one-kilometer walk through a stretch of dry tropical forest. At noon we leave for San Jose, but not before passing through the city of Liberia to have lunch in one of the restaurants of the town. We will be arriving in San Jose at approximately 6pm.   Includes:
